Genuine Leather Orgill Originals Satchel with detachable leather strap - XL Edition

Get the classic satchel look with our unique satchels, ideal for every day use or special occasions, make your satchel your statement piece. Our simple design features one main inner section which showcases the beautiful suede side of the leather, great for A4 notepads, purse, tablets etc. Along with a front pocket, ideal for placing smaller slimmer items in. Made with working buckles, choose between shoulder bag or handheld to suit any event. This satchel comes with a leather strap that is adjustable in length using a buckle, easily remove the shoulder strap by simply unhooking the lobster clasps to instantly have a smarter look.

We use veg tan Italian Leather on which will see marks - the hides patina - from its previous life which only add to its character and rustic design. Choose from the following leather colours we have:

• Tan Brown (hand dyed in our workshop)
• Natural Cream
• Yellow (hand dyed in our workshop)
• Green (hand dyed in our workshop)
• Blue (hand dyed in our workshop)
• Red (hand dyed in our workshop)
• Black (hand dyed in our workshop)
• Pink (hand dyed in our workshop - acrylic based dye)
• Sunshine Yellow (hand dyed in our workshop - acrylic based dye)
• Forest Green (hand dyed in our workshop - acrylic based dye)

Hand dyed bags keep the natural cream coloured suede side on the reverse of the straps and interior of the bag. Each bag has a unique colour which will very gradually lighten over the first few weeks revealing more gorgeous depth to each colour.

From cutting the patterns, punching holes to sewing in the traditional saddle stitch. Each bag is completely unique due to this process!

Orgill Original satchels are not made to look perfect, they exude rustic flair with every cut, rivet and stitch created by hand. Each satchel is completely unique in this way that can never be replicated, you will see the true craftsmanship it's taken to make our bags, step out of the crowd, leave behind machine made accessories, be original with Orgill Original leather goods.

This particular satchel is made with our natural cream veg tan leather that we have then hand dyed in our studio to a lovely tan brown. The leather that is sturdy and classic with rustic markings from its previous life. Each bag is hand dyed to order and will vary in brown hues making it totally unique to you. Sewn with waxed thread, the detailing complements the leather beautifully. 

Finished with the metalwork and thread colours of your choice. Choose from Antique Brass colour, Silver colour or Gold coloured metalwork. The bag in the images has been made with Antique Brass coloured metalwork and dark brown thread.

Leather ages naturally over time, this is its natural patina, ingrained with all your memories and travels together. Try to avoid getting your leather wet, if it does, wipe clean with a cloth and allow to dry out naturally. If your leather begins to crack techniques such as using leather moisturisers or oils can help soften it. Be sure to test any product on a small area not easily visible as some may cause slight discolouring of your leather.
