Leather Colour Chart & Info
Here we will go more in depth into our range of colours that we offer. Leather is a natural material that has unique markings, textures and tones, this means each design we create will be different but this one of a kind finish gives your item its special touch!
HAND DYED -
We have three types of dyed colours, all of these we dye by hand on to our natural pale cream veg tan leather, with some of these colours we are also able to dye the reverse suede side of these items (straps and bag interiors for example) to a complimentary hue. However please note for some of the paler colours (such as sunshine yellow and pink) this side will remain the natural cream colour.

Blue
Red
Black
Unnatural Green
Golden Yellow
Oil Based Dye
This dye fully soaks into the leather and accentuates the natural patina of the hide, showing its beautiful curves, creases and markings in the depths of colour varying from lighter and darker hues. This dye very gradually lightens over the first few weeks from production so you may see some slight changes reveal the true finished colour. We then use a satin finish that helps protect the colour and against scratches and light rainfall. Some very slight colour transfer may occur onto lighter coloured materials over prolonged periods of use.
Acrylic Based Dye
Sunshine Yellow
Forest Green
Pink
Acrylic Based Dye
This dye acts as more of a top layer over the leather, giving it a slightly more 'plastic' finish as would be expected with any acrylic paint. We then use a satin finish that helps protect the colour and against scratches and light rainfall.
Water Based Dye
Tan Brown
Water Based Dye
This is our new hand dyed Tan Brown colour to replace our originals classic tan as we have sadly come to the end of our supply, but we have done our best to replicate this beautiful colour as closely as possible!
This dye is very similar in finish and application to the oil based range. Soaking into the leather's natural curves giving areas of light and dark and allowing the leather to still develop a patina over time. It may very gradually lightens over the first few weeks from production so you may see some slight changes reveal the true finished colour. We then use a satin finish that helps protect the colour and against scratches and light rainfall. Some very slight colour transfer may occur onto lighter coloured materials over prolonged periods of use.
One Off Hides
We have a range of one off leather hides that we hand pick during our visits to our supplies or source online. These hides come in a variety of colours, textures, thicknesses and finishes. Each leather has its own unique features suitable for different types of products, if you can't find a specific colour you'd like then get in touch as we may well have the perfect hide in our collection that we've just not added online yet! We are always more than happy to send out small sample pieces in the post along with thread colour options if you want to see a leather in person before purchasing online. Also be sure to check out our Create your Own Bag section of the website as here we list some of our one of leathers just waiting to be made into your perfect design!
